I wear an "ankle foot orthosis" on my right leg, which is essentially a fancy way of saying "leg brace". So I knew I needed a wide shoe. I got what I thought I needed, and the shoe was too narrow, even on my left foot. There was no hope of fitting the brace into the right shoe, so I sent that pair back and got a larger size.
Once I got the correct size, I put the brace into the right shoe, and put the shoes on. Then I did not want to take them off. So I didn't. For several hours, I wore the shoes around the house, because they made my feet so comfortable. I wish they had a higher profile to support the brace a bit better, but they are alright as they are.
Every day I put them on, I don't take them off for hours. I am disabled, but I am pretty sure you could easily walk or run in these shoes, or jump. I am positive your feet would feel divine jumping rope in these shoes.
