  This item works like it should. I went thru a different brand first but found it very loud and to small for my neck. Im a big guy, 330lbs and this one fits great. I work in a warehouse and on 3 setting I can hear people talk from about 10 feet away. Don't be fooled this is not air conditioning air but it does cool me off better than without. I have had this about a month and use it every day and I use it about 5 hours out of the day and when I get home I put it on the charger and its charged before I go to bed. I have noticed that the right fan in the assembly is making a noise intermittently but the fan is still working when this happens so unsure of its longevity.
