They arrived in a clear plastic bag in a box with other items I'd ordered, so no shoe box of their own. Straight out of the bag they felt uncomfortable - I could feel all the stitching on the inside rubbing against the knuckle of my big toes and little toes, and the back rubbed against my heel. I put some socks on, slipped the shoes on, and hit those points with my hair dryer on high heat for a few minutes while wriggling my toes back and forth. That was just long enough to get the shoes to stretch a bit and the stitching to lay more flat. They are perfect now and no other breaking in was necessary. I plan on buying more in different colors.
These are really quite comfortable. I hate shoes. I would spend my life barefoot, in sneakers, or summer flat sandals if I could. Alas, none of that is work/office appropriate. So I opt for flats. My old Aerosoles had seen way better days and were due for an update. These Amazon ones came in a variety of colors and were a good price so I bought the nude/tan ones to give them a try.
