UPDATE: The company reached out to me and offered me a replacement or a refund and while I had already purchased a replacement by that time, I was very grateful for their refunding me of the original purchase and really appreciate their very helpful customer service to make it right. I believe the kettle I originally received was likely just an outlier with a small defect and not typical.

PREVIOUS REVIEW: This product claims to be food grade stainless steel inside and that it will not rust, however I noticed a slight amount of rust within a few uses, and now, with use every other day for some months, there is a good amount and I do not feel safe using the electric kettle for coffee or tea anymore. Also contacted Amazon customer support, they sent me to the manufacturer's customer support, and they told me to just "boil a lemon" and wipe it out and its fine. Will not purchase from them again.
