The board is quite well made, on first inspection. It takes some time to get used to the cherry mx reds, but the "wrist pad" is an absolute joke. I literally broke it in about 4 minutes. No directions to attach or take off, and two of the joints have already broke from normal use. This is a useless piece anyways, but that is very annoying to have a $100 keyboard have faulty parts. I payed for it, it shouldn't break that easy...questionable quality. It would have gotten 5 stars from initial use, but the terrible quality of the extra materials have dropped it to a 3 star product. It would be like having a Ferrari with $50 economy tires. Insulting. The more I'm using this keyboard the less I'm liking it. The mx cherry reds are loud and touchy as hell, which I expect from mx blacks, but not reds! The function keys are WAY too close to the regular numerical keys--also the home keys are clustered a little bit too close as well. Just from typing this review, it's gone from 5 to 3 stars. I very well may return this for a product of greater quality like a filco. Used those before and they are virtually indestructible, with a great feel. We'll let it go for a week and see how it feels out. The 3 stars stand, though. Funny that the non-mechanical keys didn't even factor into this.
That being said, my friend bought the exact same thing and it is the polar opposite. His apparently turns water into wine and cures ailments. Mine doesn't. It's an okay keyboard, and gets an okay score. I'm still fuming about this stupid wrist pad that broke as soon as I attached it.
Also, the pictures are inaccurate. The red 1-6 keys have no symbols on them. Not a deal breaker, but misleading nonetheless. Man, disliking this keyboard more and more. If I keep going it will be a 2 of 5. Going to stop now.
EDIT:
Don't buy it. I've gone through 2 of these now (in the last week of the warranty). Keys keep on glitching or dying. Sommetimes the enter key gets stuck in a cycle and does an "infinite" entry until I unplug it. That sucks. Right now while typing this, every few times I type an "m", it inputs two. Then I have to go back and edit. It kind of ruins the typing experience. Also, the S doesn't always work on this newest one. I'd say DON'T BUY, GET A FILCO. They are much more expensive, but they don't fail. Just wish I could find a Filco with brown switches that doesn't cost a fortune. Reds aren't bad, in fact they are great for FPS, but I'm missing that tactile feel.
