With this kit you will not need to purchase anything else other than sugar, and the fruits you plan on using! Enough ingredients for 3 to 4 five gallon batches. I recommend that you also purchase a few extra plastic or glass carboys with bungs and airlocks, this way you can make a few batches back to back while racked wine clears. I prefer to make 3 gallons at a time, and the ingredients were enough for five 3 gallon batches of wine. The recipe book is helpful, but search around the net for more recipes. Sterilization is the key here! When learning to read the hydrometer I practiced on just plain water mixed with sugar which helped a great deal when it came time to mix everything! Also purchased the Cider House Select yeast which I plan on using this fall!
