I was not impressed with this "sushi maker". I used it a few times and didn't care for it, I ended up giving it to my mother in law as a gift.
It was not easy to use, and the sushi I did end up with looked awful and was literally falling apart! THIS IS BY NO MEANS A SUSHI ROLLER, THIS IS A PRESS! This will not give you professional looking sushi, quite the opposite!
I hand roll sushi now and honestly it's so much easier and comes out just fine. You don't need this plastic junk, sushi press.
