So I purchased the Kitchen mandolin. Very disappointed but decided to go to amazon and see what people were saying and find another. I came across this one. It was delivered and I was expecting to be disappointed. I was not! It came with ample blades to chose from. I used it first to make some turkey salad. I sliced an onion and viola! It slides pretty thin wished there was a paper thin setting. I loved that this thickness/thinness was adjustable. Then I used the julienne blades and slicer for the celery. It was akin to dicing.
The cons: The blade doesn't have a guard and you must exercise care. The julienne blades also need to be clean if used and they are ultra sharp and part of the slicer itself. The holder for the vegetables fits more something round so I had to move the celery back and forth myself. Again with extra care not to cut myself.
