Drive is rated at 100MB/s but I consistently get read speeds over that. Write speeds drop off but is expected with all drives. Drive appears very durable and will hopefully outlast my Silicon Power drive its replacing (that I foolishly left plugged in 24/7 for several months) after it had "mysteriously" died. I am rather partial to the dark rich color of this case too. Only time will tell on the durability front but so far I am impressed at its performance based on its inexpensive cost.
