I really love this album from early in her career. It is a close second to her Quincy Jones-produced album "Nana Mouskouri in New York - The Girl from Greece Sings," which I adore. This is from very early in her international career, when she sang with support, clarity, and an audible sob in her voice that is tremendously captivating. The arrangements are by jazz musician Bobby Scott and the selection of material is thoughtful and suited to her strengths. Later in her career, Mouskouri tended more toward unsupported, quavery crooning and her tone quality changed in a way that I find unappealing. This was before any of that happened, and demonstrates why she held such promise and generated such interest early on.
