I purchased this jacket to wear for a half marathon with rain in the forecast. The jacket definitely didn't keep me completely dry after spending 3+ hours in the rain, but it did a relatively good job and kept me comfortable. I was nervous about sizing but the jacket was a perfect fit! If you're looking to layer with a sweater I would recommend sizing up. For reference, I am just under 5'2" and typically a size L top and 12/14 in pants with 34E bust.
