After reading reviews of the problems that people had registering the downloaded version, I opted for the disk. Tried to register - entered the information required, tried to register and got a message saying something like sorry, can't register this on line, call to register.
Called the number. Wait on hold "only" 10 minutes. Give all the info to the CSR (note that I started the conversation with the fact that I'm trying tor register a MAC desktop version). 5 min into the call, she tells me she can't help because she with the WINDOWS department. So can't complete a MAC registration. I had called the phone number that came up from the installation process of the MAC desktop.
She transfers me to someone who could help. Wait 10 minutes, no pickup.
The advantage of the desktop version is that it can be returned. Once I have what I need for my accountant, back this goes to intuit. They obviously don't give a s**t about their mac customers. Time for us to return the favor.
Hi Philly Rob. Please be assured that this review will be brought up through the proper channels, as it is disheartening to read that you plan to return the product. I hope to turn this around, however.
I want to let you know that the registration issue has been resolved as of 01/10/2019 and should no longer interfere with the registration process. Also, because of the difficulty you had with the Customer Support team, I'd like to focus your attention towards the Product Experts over on Facebook (Intuit QuickBooks) and Twitter (QBCares). Available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 10 PM EST, they can work with you over chat. Additionally, there's the QuickBooks Community website. This site is an excellent resource when trying to learn a new feature, or just simply need to ask a question.
Finally, if you're still set on returning the program, the following article will guide you on how to send it back to us for a refund: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1764891-return-quickbooks-product-for-a-refund
I hope this information helps, Philly Rob. Clay, The QuickBooks Team
