Took this on a 3-week trip to Denmark where I needed to charge 2 devices via usb as well as my laptop. Haven't had any issues with the adapter or my devices getting warm to the touch, but I did make sure to check the voltage capacity of my laptop/phone beforehand to make sure they could handle it, since this device doesn't convert voltage. I like that it's small and compact, since it makes it easy to carry with me to class. My main complaint would be that when it's plugged vertically into the wall instead of horizontally into the power strip my study abroad program provided, the adapter can feel unstable, especially when i plug my laptop charger into it. I would have preferred the European outlet to be one of the prongs that slides out like the Australia and UK ones do, but the layout on this device has it swing out on a hinge. I think that having it slide out instead of swing would have provided it the level of support that I was looking for when plugging into a wall outlet. I'll also echo what I've seen in other reviews that the usb ports are a little tight, but I've been able to plug 2 cords into them simultaneously as long as I just pay attention when I'm putting it in. Overall good price for what I got, and it does what I needed it to.
