These are great trash cans, shipped free and the price was good, and the Sam's Club large trash liners fit fine.
We have used several Rubbermaid trash cans in our office meeting rooms, bathrooms and kitchen. The weighted swing down lids allow someone to drop a papertowel or other light trash without touching the can or lid, and then they swing back closed so you don't have to look at it.
They are not, sadly, indestructible. The janitorial crew managed to break one of the cans (hard to do, but they did it!). Other swing top lids that were designed like a teeter-totter made as a single piece of plastic and the opening was on the left or right. They broke off at the pivot axle or the lids just cracked from being dropped on the floor. These new lids pivot separately with the opening in the middle. On this new can, there are convenient bag holders (visible on the picture) to keep the bag in after it starts filling up.
We ordered two of them. Curiously, one was shipped in its original Rubbermaid box, and it had met with package abuse either at the warehouse or by the shipper. Amazon is replacing it with no charge or effort on my part. The other was in the Rubbermaid box and that box was inside a larger box with padding -- it arrived with no damage and went right to work.
I would buy this product again.
Follow up: I wish Rubbermaid was a little less proud of their product. The large (12" x 12" approx.) label glued onto the side of the trash can cannot easily be removed. In fact if you try to remove it, it shreds into small strips looking like the wrath of God. So you have to hope the janitor will leave the can with the ugly label towards the wall.
