Customer Review

I received this item at a discount to test and review, so made a short video and audio test.

This is a very simple concept. If you contain your microphone to where it cannot pick up bounced sound then you should get less reverb and room noise. The question is though, does it work.

Pyle have decided to go with a simple, portable option for a sound booth that will allow the user to take down the box if needed and keep it flat for storage. This comes at a cost though. The acoustic dampening material included must be inserted and removed between uses if you want to break it down, and if you leave it constructed the top does not stay flush with the cube structure. You can see this in the video, but suffice it to say that the included double stick material is not strong enough to keep it in place.

I would suggest anyone who wishes to make this a permanent fixture in their studio to get better double stick tape and make these panels stick well to the cube.

Function wise I cannot complain at all though. The sound difference is noticeable to my ears, but feel free to listen to my audio sample at the end of my video to hear for yourself.

Overall I would say that this is an offering which delivers on function but needs a little help to be the best it can be in the looks department.
