I now have six of these Energizer lanterns and each one of them was in use in Houston during the power outage that occurred during Hurricane Beryl. I was without power for seven days. All six lanterns allowed me to function after dark because they put out such a bright light. When folded to the up position, they give off illumination like a regular table lamp. The nightlight setting is the only thing to watch for. If you don't turn off the light properly, this setting will drain your battery.
