This is probably the slowest NAS drive I have ever used. Slower than my portable drive plugged into my router. It takes literally weeks to upload a couple terabytes of data. The interface is also very inconvenient. In order to load any content your PC/Tablet etc. has to be logged in through the WD Website. On top of that it is consistently, repeatedly logging out. If you have this on a remote PC with automatic backups be prepared to check it every few days to re-log into the drive. It's crazy, I may as will just do manual backups.
We regret hearing about the performance issues with the WD My Cloud Home Duo Cloud Storage Device and thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. The My Cloud Home is not a NAS Per Se', rather it is a personal cloud device with a focus on remote/mobile access. As highlighted in the review that the My Cloud Home device is performing slow during data transfer, which could be caused by various reasons, such as Computer does not have a Gigabit Ethernet adapter. Data protection software, Anti-Virus, Malware Protect affecting data transfer speeds. Deeply nested directory structures or a directory structure containing millions of tiny files could affect data transfer speed.
The My Cloud Home ships with a Gigabit Ethernet Interface. To take advantage of the best performance and capabilities of the device. It is recommended to directly connect the device to a Gigabit router or network switch with direct access to the Internet. For backup and transfer to a My Cloud Home, we make data integrity a higher priority over transfer speed.
Data Integrity takes precedence over speed and performance when transferring content to a My Cloud Home using the Desktop App into the User Private Space. All content transferred or added to the User Private Space will have a thumbnail generated if available in the file and indexed by the My Cloud Home. Data transfer speeds will vary depending on the content and network architecture.

The My Cloud Home does not support Sleep or Standby Mode so there might be a possibility that the computer moves to Sleep or Standby mode during data transfer, which might be logging out the user from the mycloud.com website. We would recommend you to try different browser to access the mycloud.com website and check the internet connection to isolate the issue.
