So I’ve had a $12 Hamilton Beach hand mixer for the last 10 years. It was loud, obnoxious, and didn’t have a true “low” setting. So when it died, I thought I’d upgrade. However, this mixer doesn’t seem to have a true “high” setting. I think the max speed on this mixer is about as fast as the lowest speed on my old one. So, yes, it works. Yes, it’s quiet. But it definitely takes longer to whip things. So I’m not overly impressed (especially for the price) but I’m not going to return it. It’ll do the trick I guess. But I’d probably buy the next model up if I had to do it over again.
