The odds were stacked against Ahmare and Duran in EPIC proportions, both suffered tragedy that is all too familiar with the BDB. It's one of the characteristics of the series I enjoy the most, Ward takes something horrific then shows you the power of hope and determination it takes to rebuild or create a new normal. In their case they had to get their hands bloody to clear the way. True J.R. Ward style.
This story is a little shorter than I'm used to but it is damn good and I hope to see all of the characters in the future. I found this story to be a bit more intense as Ahmare and Duran race to complete their goals. There isn't much time for the Ward-style normal, everything is condensed and intense. My heart raced in a few scenes. Well Done. Is it April yet????
