I never used packing cubes prior to the three-month road trip I just took. They completely changed the game on the trip. This particular brand is super lightweight and durable, easy to use, and feels & looks good to boot. Can't really beat it for the price. Give them a shot — I thought they were unnecessary and I thought I was already a good packer, but now it's out of control
