I was surprised by how large it was, but that shouldn't have been a surprise. The dimensions are clearly (and accurately) stated, and it is a significantly high wattage PSU.

Furthermore, I installed the PSU in aLian Li LANCOOL II MESH C RGB-X case. The case has a fairly large bottom section reserved for the PSU in the back and a 3.5" x 3 drive rack in the front. The drive rack is moveable but not re-moveable. Given the extra length of the PSU, this makes adding the modular power cables on an "as needed" basis very troublesome, and some of the ports are un-reachable without partially removing the PSU. Personally, I blame bad case design for this. There's absolutely no reason that the drive cages shouldn't be completely removeable from the case. They just don't fit through the side openings. Long story short, make sure you have MORE than enough room in your case from front to back to be able to fit your fingers in and plug/unplug the modular power cables. Otherwise, you'll be removing components to change your power cables.

I've been running with the power saving fan throttle option turned on. There are no problems with power delivery whatsoever. However, I'm not even close to maxing the load right now. I just have a Samsung 970-Pro M.2 pcie drive and Zotac Geforce RTX 3070 Ti running on the Asus TUF x570-Plus (Wi-Fi)...and an AIO water pump and 6x 120mm case fans. So...no exactly stressing a 1000w PSU.
