I am stuck between 2 and 3 stars. This book is turning into a disappointment. I have only made it to page 50, but I am so surprised by some of her recommendations that I needed to review now. I had expected more.

For instance, on page 50 she recommends not eating canned food because they lack vitamins and enzymes, but she recommends eating canned tomatoes versus store fresh tomatoes because she says the canned version has much higher carotenes. What about the bpa lining and the acid of the tomatoes eating that lining? On the same page she recommends eating organic meat and produce, BUT YOU DONT NEED TO MAKE A FETISH OF IT. What? Earlier in the book she also approved eating grass fed beef that was finished off with grains (not feedlot cows but otherwise) and she says because finishing off still mimics the grains they naturally eat in the nature......what? I am quite positive eating some grains in the pasture along with some grass is quite different than being finished off on grains.

Those are just a few examples, as there are more and I am only in the first 50 pages. I really expected more and better of this book and especially her. I did look through the recipes and I am otherwise excited by what I saw. So the book isn't a complete waste, but I am questioning the rest of what she recommends as I keep reading.

Maybe the problem is that the book just needs to be updated and revised. I don't know, but I am quite disappointed in many of her recommendations.
