Glenn Dyer effectively builds a riveting espionage thriller around an actual event that helped turn the tide of battle during World War Two. As the story unfolds, he does an excellent job of setting the various scenes and locales...and there are several locales...by painting vivid pictures with his words. In my case, they piqued my senses and helped me visualize the characters and the surroundings. The story is fiction, but many of the names and places are real and part of history during that time. If you're a student of modern wartime history, this is a great read. I enjoyed the book and look forward to Conor Thorn's next adventure.
