In a world familiar, but very different from our own, where African slaves never came to British North America and the American Revolution never happened, and the world remains without many contraptions common in our world with some old ones in our world just beginning to appear in theirs'. Two young people from different sides come together. What begin for one as a mission causes strange feeling to stir between them but can true love survive lies and betrayals as the truth slowly reveals itself? Will one or both of the young lovers pay the ultimate price when truths are revealed and wars and a revolution long delayed unfold around them drawing them deeper and deeper into conspiracies and will their own past misdeeds and betrayals come back to haunt them or will true love find a way to lead them into a gleaming unexpected future?
