  These are well made and durable (my cat tried to tear into them to no avail). I will say, however, that they work great in that they hide the "walking by smell" i.e. they block odor that is strong from people smelling it. They are not great at actually getting rid of the smell up close. Example: I use my lift trainers 4-5 times a week and come home with them smelling and put the purifying bags in them. No smell if your passing by. If you get up close and smell them they do still stink. I've found that using an ozone generator like this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JAP7388/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is better at really removing the smell.
