The idea of the product as a portable French Press style coffee maker is sound. The quality of the materials and construction are good as well. If you enjoy using a French Press coffee maker and have a way to clean it without pouring the grounds down the drain or hosing it off in the back yard, then this is a great unique and portable solution and it probably ranks 4 to 5 stars. But for me, I have to put paper towels over the drain to strain the grounds and go through several rinse cycles to get the grounds out. So, this offsets the ease of using the product when making the coffee. But it seems that this would be a problem for every French Press style coffee maker. I also have an Aerobie Aeropress which uses the French Press idea but the grounds are compacted and easily disposed of on the trash can with a simple rinse of the plunger. Also, it doesn’t result in any fine partial sediment in my coffee. Additionally, I would have preferred the product to be a little larger in circumference and not so tall but I guess it is made to fit in car drink holders. Also, the flap on the lid touches my nose when I drink, meaning I have to dab it off my nose. This may not bother others, who use French presses, but for me, I’ll stick with my AeroPress and pour it into a travel cup.
