Quinoa: it seems like people love it or hate it. Obviously, I'm in the first group. I've been enjoying this brand for a few years now: it tastes good (to me!), it's ready-to-cook & ready to eat in about 20 minutes. I keep some frozen after cooking for quick snacks or side dish. PROS: it's a great substitute for rice or pasta if you avoid simple carbs. It's high in complex carbs that are slowly digested & don't cause sugar spikes, and it's also completely plant-based protein source. Tastes good alone or mixed into a variety of dishes, salads, soups, etc. CONS: a family member put it best: "It tastes like grass seeds." If you've never had it before, try a very small bag first. Sadly, no matter how you spice it or what you put it in, some people just won't EVER like it. (Word to the wise: if you DO like it, be very careful: the grains are tiny, if you're not careful they'll wind up everywhere..before & after being cooked.)
