Half the price of those sold at Office Depot; however after a few print jobs I began and continue to get an error message that the cartridge wasn't installed correctly. Old cartridges do not produce this error. Since I cannot move forward with print jobs, I retract my earlier review and give this instead 1 star.
I am sorry that you had this experience with the cartridge you received. I can understand your retraction!
However, there is a possibility that the situation can be fixed. If the copper contacts that are on the cartridge and inside the printer (where the cartridge contacts connect) have become dirty or damaged, the printer might not be able to connect with the cartridge properly. You can try cleaning the contacts with lint-free material to see if that helps. If it doesn't then it is probably just a defective cartridge.
When you receive a cartridge from a vendor that is defective, you can: - request a replacement or a refund, if you are within the time where you are able to return it. To find their contact data on your Amazon account go to My Account > My Orders. - send a message to Amazon directly if you have a valid complaint that is not addressed by the vendor at: www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/contact-us
