I have to admit, this is my 4th Rowenta iron (shame on me). We iron very regularly in our home and iron EVERYTHING, even t-shirts to go work out at the gym. We are very particular about our clothing. So we justify buying an expensive iron, given how much we use it. What draws me to the Rowenta is the amount of steam it is capable of producing. The problem is - EVERY Rowenta I have owned (and I have paid up to $160 for a Rowenta iron) has not lasted a year. They ALL have leaked and this current one is no exception. In addition to severely leaking (out the steam plate, out the sides, out the bottom) it is also not heating up to temp any longer. I believe we have owned it for about 8 months at this point. We follow instructions and only use the water they recommend. Given the horrible reviews I have read about Rowenta's customer service I will not bother contacting them. I am going out today to buy ANOTHER iron, but will not buy another Rowenta.
