My feet have gotten "weird" in middle-age, I can no longer wear high heels and even a lot of shoes my size just don't fit. I have high arches and wideness only across my toes, so I haven't been able to successfully buy a pair of shoes online in years. The reviews for these boots, coupled with the fact that they are exactly what I need for fall made me skeptically hit the order button. I didn't have a lot of hope that these would work for me, but neither was I up for spending 3 hours at DSW trying on all their booties. In keeping with the reviews I ordered up (I wear between 9.5 and 10, so I ordered a 10) and decided to go with wide width.
In short- these were 100% perfect right out of the box, paired with athletic ankle socks. I usually have to break in all of my shoes for a few weeks and I was prepared to do that with these, but no need! I put them on and immediately wore them. They have a sturdy, cushioned footbed and they're not too loud when walking on hard surfaces. I'll be getting them in every color, they are well worth the price!
