There may be cheaper options that work as well so I can’t comment on value and I’m not exactly a chef. However I love this pan. It does a great job of evening out the heat from my electric stove for great steaks every time. Also done risotto in it with great results. So long as you wait for the bottom to heat up, it really counteracts the problems with uneven heat from an electric stove.
