Customer Review

The painfully poor acting was probably the reason why this lost the first star (from bad Italian accents, awk chemistry, lack of authenticity), and the film lost a second star because it shamelessly over-played every single Italian immigrant cliche- I was waiting for Mario and Luigi to make a cameo at one point. The plotline is also overly simplified and predictable - I wish I could recommend this as a family movie but it unfortunately has too many sexual innuendos inappropriate for anyone under 16.

However in the end, it's a feel-gooder about family, loyalty and home roots. If it's a rainy night and you have nothing else better to do, it's worth the $3.
