- Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2013Truth be told I bought this keyboard to be cool, not to actually type faster or anything. After all, pro gamers like Idra use it so I wanted to be cool like them. Surprisingly when this actually came in the mail and I plugged it into my desktop; I could tell instantly that I was typing faster and that my keystrokes were more responsive in comparison to my old rubber dome Dell old-school keyboard. Would recommend this for typing and gaming. Please do remember to use the PS/2 connector so you can eliminate key ghosting completely. With the connector you can press ALL the keys at once and they will all show up at the same time. This is a really cool thing but, more importantly, I want to stress that you really can tell the difference in speed of registration of keystrokes with this keyboard and I felt that it was WELL worth the money. Also it has a heavy feel to it. Sure all they did was put a metal plate in the thing but it actually helps your keyboard stay in place and not move around, which is something I felt was REALLY annoying with my old Dell keyboard. I was constantly having to re-adjust. With the 6GV2 keybaord I don't have to do that anymore and typing is actually fun and might even provide students with the motivation to write-up those papers. You can buy this keyboard and be happy with it. Also worth noting is the fact that it is quieter than most mechanical keyboards because of how the red switch is designed. Personally, I think it is the best all-around switch because it is great for both typing and playing games, which is something I do a lot of being both a student and computer game player.
