I bought this drive new from Amazon in October - in December I opened the factory sealed box to install in a computer. The computer would not recognize the drive - I put in my personal computer and Windows Drive Management would not recognize the drive. I used several types of external connections and even cabled directly into my computer - still not good. I grabbed a WD mechanical drive and it installed with no issues. In order to send back to Samsung for warranty they require a ton of information, your troubleshooting info, how you connected it, a picture of the drive's label, a copy of the invoice, and for me to pay shipping BOTH WAYS. I have to furnish a return pre-paid label to them. Unacceptable!! I will by Crucial and SanDisk from now on.

Our warranty process is detailed below: 1. Once you contact and inform us that you need to process an RMA, we will email you an RMA form. a. This form will ask for your contact info, reason for repair, and a copy/photo of your receipt/bill of sale (if possible). b. Please email us back the completed form and proof of purchase. 2. Once we receive your completed RMA form, we will email you your RMA Ticket Number. a. If you are within the U.S., you will also be emailed a UPS label to send us your SSD for assessment. 3. You should receive your repaired or replacement drive within 5-7 business days from the date you shipped us back your original drive.
