This is our second moka pot from Bialetti and I have yet to regret either purchase. This size makes a perfect double-shot and I'll often top it with hot water for a Cafe Americano. It's our only way to make coffee unless we need a larger volume to last a whole day (then we use the French Press). These pots are very durable. Purchased our first one 3 years ago and it's still going strong, just needed a second one so I could stop carrying it from work to home. Tried a full espresso machine, but there are too many parts that can break and the moka pot takes less time to brew. The coffee is a perfect concentration. Not too strong and not in any way weak - nice and flavorful. Don't do a full espresso grind as it's too small and some of the grounds are lifted up into the pot. The happy medium is between a drip and espresso grind. We use these for about 5 cups a day and I recommend them to all our coffee drinking friends. They even say my coffee rivals the coffee house and I don't buy the best beans - shop around for an affordable, quality bean (we like Barrismo from Aldi $4/lb - it's fabulous). Tip: Keep your grounds and scatter them in the garden. The plants love it!
