The device stores okay but my computer locks up every time I turn it on, unless I disconnect the WD external drive prior to firing up the computer. Once I see the home page on the monitor I can plug the WD back into the computer and the computer is happy. 3 separate emails, spaced a week part, to customer service at WD has not yet produced a reply. I used to believe WD had an excellent reputation but now I have serious doubts.

Additional note: I've texted WD customer service four times in the past month about the problem. They haven't bothered to answer me as yet.

This week the drive completely died, and along with it most of my photos taken over the past 50 years. So I am dropping the 2 stars to a single star and if I could give them zero stars I would !
