Do not be deceived by the beautiful trailer, the talented cast, or by the fact that this film was somehow written by the same man who wrote the gem that is Crazy Stupid Love. There are so many things wrong with this morbidly ridiculous production, I don't even know where to begin. Every single plot line is tied together by death. I have never seen a film that mines personal tragedy so carelessly or relies solely on coincidence rather than connection. The amount of plot holes, lack of character development, painfully awkward lines, and general impracticality of this entire movie is nauseating. It's supposed to be about the interconnectedness of life, and what's sad is that it had the potential to be great, but it takes viewers on an overly-ambitious journey and falls flat at every turn. Do not waste your time with this movie, unless you lack depth and have no understanding of storytelling. Since this movie has 1 star on Rotten Tomatoes but 4 stars on here, it seems many of you do. Thanks.
