Believe what you hear about the size being too small. These particular Crocs were manufactured in Italy--why does that matter? Italians are known to have smaller/narrower feet than Americans. Honestly, even with the narrowed width, they still supplied the known comfort of Crocs, the biggest problem of limited length is attributed to the straps not protruding back enough to allow the foot the space you get when wearing the Crocs without the use of the straps.
In fact, the straps are so short, you lose a good 3/4" of space, pushing your foot further into the Crocs giving you pressure points on the toes and the achilles.
What I discovered concerning the women's sizes: if a half size larger on your shoes fits you with significant added roominess, then rounding down your size means the Crocs will fit exact and without added space (i.e. 8-1/2 fits VERY roomy, then go with size 8, but if 8-1/2 fits comfortably NOT roomy, then go up to size 9....this goes for any shoe size.
Needless to say, this purchase was sadly returned.
