We have leaky valves that are impeded in a wall and don't want to rip out the bedroom wall to get at them and don't want to damage the tile. They are old and not easy to replace. So we've been using shut-off valves for several years. My old one finally gave out and the shower head was dripping every few seconds to later dozens of drips per second. I tried two that I found at the big box home improvement store and had to return them both as they only barely relieved the dripping. I saw a few very favorable reviews for this one and figured it had to be better. WOW, it was amazing. Absolutely NO dripping whatsoever. Let me state that we use this after the valves have been turned off to prevent the dripping and splashing and the onset of mold in the shower because it never dries out. We don't use it for turning the water off while taking a shower, but did try it to see if the claims held and they did. I only turned it off for a few minutes and again, there was no dripping. The valve is a lot easier to turn than the 90° turn valves and I did not notice any water pressure decrease (this is in an upstairs bathroom). I bought a second one to have on hand just in case it craps out and i can't find it again, but it's been a few months of using the shower about 3 times per day and I am more than happy.
