Incredible artbook full of a lot of quality photos. If you bought the Scythe book from him, you'll see a lot of familiar pieces, but this has way more for a better price. He even has a tutorial section in the back with progress pics.
What I love most about this artist is his ability to capture a mood in his imagery. This is not your run of the mill concept art book with 'nice paintings,' but these pieces really tell a story. He's got a way of capturing an atmosphere with his colors and compositions that do more than serve as a pretty little painting.
This would make a great gift for aspiring artists in any visual medium, sequential arts, film, gaming, preproduction animation, etc, or for folks who love a less gaudy steampunk aesthetic. The mechanical creations in his work are well thought out, really fit the country they represent, and FEEL like mechs that would exist in the WWI - WWII era.
The quality of the book itself is very professional. You really get your money's worth. The size is big enough to see the great details in his work, and fits on my ikea shelf just nicely.
