My daughter insisted that my wife and I watch Ratatouille with her. Since we like animated movies - Pixar especially - this was a no-brainer. Everyone in my home loves cooking as well, so this tale about a rat that wants to cook and the boy who couldn't was especially engaging. I have to agree with my daughter that this is one of Pixar's best, right up there with The Incredibles, The Toy Stories, Wall-E, and Monsters Inc.. The general story follows the hero's journey model many Pixar films use, but the character are fun and it seemed fresh. The animation was up to the production company's usual high standards, and the end credits was particularly stunning. Ratatouille is a great family night movie I wouldn't mind watching again.
