I purchased this daypack to use for hiking on a recent trip to Arches National Park in Utah. It worked beautifully. The pack was lightweight, folded up nice and small to pack in a suitcase for airline travel, and worked beautifully while hiking. It was large enough to fit a sweatshirt, snacks or a lunch and a large water bottle. My water bottle had to go into the main compartment because it was too big to fit in the side pouch but I expected that. It was a 40 oz. water bottle and I needed every drop for hiking in 90 degree weather. A smaller water bottle would fit in the side pouch without any problem. I also used it at a Rockies baseball game and the security toggles came in very handy. I was not at all concerned with it on my back in a crowd. If you're looking for a compact, comfortable day pack, you will not be disappointed.
