I purchased these with the intent of making a beff tenderloin lomo al trapo, and they work perfectly. That is to say they are cloth with a shape, and tend to burn when subjected to fire. I had no issues with any of the 6 I received. All were complete, and the weave was consistent enough to hold salt in.
These are exceptional items FOR THEIR INTENT and PRICE. Many people are complaining that they are cheap material... they are. That is what these are. They are cheap, short life towels made of low-quality fabric, and purchasing cheap, lose weave fabric for long-lasting kitchen material is user error.
Buy them for a purpose suited to sub $1 towels, not because you are too cheap to buy $2.50 towels, and don't expect them to stick around past a few uses.
