I bought this bag in both orange and black. While both seem to be of similar quality, the orange one is definitely a fake.
Tell tale signs that the orange one is fake: The label is misspelled, the snap doesn't say "CARROT CO" on the inside, and the color of the fabric around the zipper appears to be slightly different from what is shown on Carrot Co/Anello's official site.
The black one appears to be legit. After comparing it to the bag my friend bought at an official Anello store, neither of us could tell the difference.
Authentic or not, I've decided to return both of them because they are higher priced and lower quality than a third bag I bought from Himawari. The Himawari bag is the same style but has a thick waterproof liner, better plastic strap adjusters, and the zippers even appear to be slightly nicer. Plus it was half the price! Who cares about brand name when the off-brand is better quality.
