Why didn't I buy one of these things AGES ago?! My first use was to zest a slice of a lemon. I use tons of lemons in iced tea, but try to save the peel for cooking. It's hard to zest a mere portion of a lemon, but this tool does it like magic. I was amazed how much more of the good part of the peel this tool could remove—without getting the bitter white part—than my old zester. One iced-tea-sized slice yielded twice as much zest as I usually get, and with next to no effort. I'm kicking myself for not having discovered this item years and years ago. A kitchen "must-have".
