Laptop computers weight enough as it is so a heavy lap desk is not good. Fortunately this is very light, I use it while curled up on my recliner and it does the job well. It also nice in that it can hold your phone if you want to keep an eye on it while you use your computer. That said, the only real negative I can say is that the filling that was used in the lab pads seems to be degrading over time. It's been nearly four years since I bought it and the beans (Styrofoam I'm surmising) do not nearly fill the cushions like they used to. It's nearly to the point where I have to make a decision about what to do - look for some way to add more beans... or buy a new lab desk. Time to do a little research.
