I like the shape of this and the softness. The velvet does love to pick up all the under-deak hair but that's bound to happen. However, the photos of this are misleading. It doesn't raise and lower, it just has a piece you can Velcro to the bottom or leave the bottom off. And if you leave the bottom off (which I did because it ended up being too high), the the rough side of the Velcro faces the floor, which could be good or bad depending on your preference. For me, it hooks into the carpet and is hard to move, but it does help it stay in place. Overall, gets the job done.
