I bought this to test out my travel berkey water filter (with the two black elements) and boy am I glad I did! I was testing the water filter just using sink water so no risk of danger, but when I checked for proper filtration with this food dye I found that the filters were not functioning properly and all the food dye made it through to the bottom chamber! After a bit of examination I found that the threads on the plastic wing nut appeared to be slightly stripped and that filter was not being sealed as tightly as the other. I called their customer service and with my explanation they sent me a replacement set of wing nuts and seals. Then I ran the test again with the red food dye and none visibly made it through the filters! Also had some fun in the process (accidentally got some red food dye on my fingers and didn't realize it until it was on several things around the house...oops! Pay attention people lol).
