I used it for 2 weeks and followed the directions but it quickly corroded. I have a family member in the metal treatment business and he said the following of this product:
"We looked at it under 10-30x magnification and the whole inside is covered with corrosion pits - little crevices, holes, and fissures that will hold onto bacteria. I would advise you not to use this again...There is a stainless steel stud and nut going right through the side of the little aluminum carafe, so that is a classic set up for what is called galvanic corrosion."
