After reading all the reviews about the flimsy shelfs and the damages from shipping, I still went ahead and ordered this product. The shipping was very fast for an appliance. I received the cooler in 3 days from ordering. The cooler was double boxed and banded on a miniature pallet. The only damage was a small dent in the top/right corner the size of a pin head. You can only notice it if you look very hard. So overall, the shipping was excellent.
Several reviews stated the shelves were flimsy and or bowed in the center. I loaded my cooler to the max and the shelves did not give. There were some differences on the type of shelves from chrome plated to black. The item I received had black shelves.
You can hardly tell the unit is running. After a day, you don't notice it all. The blue LED light was a nice touch as well even though it does not illuminate very well when the cooler if filled to capacity.
The only recommendation/complaint I have is the temperature setting range. 38 degrees is the lowest it goes. So if you want ice cold beverages, this is not the item for you.
Overall this cooler is very well made, looks amazing and compliments our other stainless steel appliances. Our kids called it "cool" until they were informed of the lock on it which is a nice feature if you plan on storing alcoholic beverages and don't want your kids to have access.
